Meet the Team in Rochester, NY

Below, you'll find a full list of our teammates here at Greece Family Dentistry and Implantology. However, if you'd like to learn more about us or our mission, feel free to contact us anytime!

Dr. Kristina Visic, DDS

Dentist

Dr. Visic was born and raised in Rochester, New York. She received her
undergraduate degree from Syracuse University, a Masters of Medical Science
from Hampton University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the
University of Maryland Dental School. For advanced training, she completed
a General Practice Residency at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY.

Dr. Visic’s goal is to make patients comfortable not only as they receive
dental care but also to understand its importance. The mouth is a gateway
to the rest of the body where oral health can influence systemic diseases
and vice-versa. She values each patient as a unique individual with
different goals and needs, not a “one size fits all” approach.

When not practicing dentistry, she enjoys exercising, spending time with
family (especially her two adorable nieces) and friends, reading, watching
documentaries and listening to music. Living a healthy lifestyle and
learning is of utmost importance to her and she incorporates it in all
aspects of life. She is excited to be part of the GFDI Family!

Dr. Maxim Yakimov, DDS

Dr. Yakimov was born in Rochester, New York after his parents immigrated from Ukraine. After graduating from Spencerport High School, Dr Yakimov received his Bachelors of Science from the University at Buffalo. He went on to complete his Doctorates of Dental Surgery at Touro College of Dental Medicine. For additional training, he completed a General Practice Residency at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY.

Dr. Yakimov believes that the ultimate key to the care of an individual lies in the important relationship between the patient and provider. One of his favorite parts of dentistry is establishing a relationship with each individual that he encounters that goes outside of dentistry. He loves getting to know each person that he meets and strives to get a laugh out of every person.

In Dr. Yakimov’s free time, he enjoys rooting for his sports teams and spending time with his friends. He is invested heavily as a Youth Leader at his local church and serves his local Slavic community. Outside of dentistry, you will almost always find him outside on a tractor or with a shovel in his hand.

Dr Cabrera, originally a native of Florida, resides in Greece, NY. He has a lovely wife, Christa a native of Rochester, and four wonderful children: Olivia, Annabella, Christian, and Roman. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served 6 years as an Armor Officer in the 4th Infantry Division. He later finished his residency between the University of Florida and Rochester General Hospital where he learned advanced surgical procedures, IV sedation, and began his implant training. Dr Cabrera is diligent in staying abreast of the most current techniques and believes in practicing evidence based dentistry, which is why he chose to complete his Implant Training at the Misch Institute of Implantology. Dr Cabrera treats every aspect of dentistry including restorative, prosthodontics, pedodontics, implantology, endodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, orthodontics, and TMD. Dr Cabrera is a true gentleman that loves to take time with his patients. His deep sense of compassion and warm chairside manner stems from his intimate relationship with the Lord. He loves dentistry, but more importantly loves to serve Christ and hopes that his gentleness, care, and treatment can reflect his love for God.

Tammy Yandow, RDH

Lesley is from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and moved to Rochester after high school graduation where she graduated with a certificate with both nursing assisting and dental assisting. Lesley has been in the dental field for over 30 years. She started her career as a dental assistant while going to MCC for her Dental Hygiene Degree. In 2003, Lesley went back to MCC to get her license for dental anesthesia and nitrous oxide. She’s passionate about Periodontal Therapy, as it relates to total body health and systemic health issues. She takes the time to educate patients that don't know how disease affects the whole body and mind.

Lesley lives with her daughter Ryleigh and boyfriend of 10 years, Michael. They have 2 dogs named Gemma and Bailey and also 3 rescue cats named Peter, Penny, and Sammi. At any given time she will have foster kittens until they go to their "furrever" home.

In 2021, Lesley achieved a license for Wildlife Rehabilitation through the NYSDEC. Now she and Michael enjoy giving animals a second chance and can help them through their own Wildlife Rehab. She also has fun "glamping" at their permanent campsite, day tripping to find random places, cooking fresh and healthy meals, killing levels of Candy Crush, and working with non profits like RocKats TNR, Rescued Treasures and Love for Misfit Meeps. Because of being diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease in 1980 and receiving an anonymous family’s kidney, she loves to support the Donate Life Program and Organ Donation. Lesley was also diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2016 and now is associated with Epicure, which is a gluten free and allergy friendly way to cook to help others with dietary allergies as well as to help with diabetes and high blood pressure.
